Day in Japan 16: Soyjoy ?

This is the street that I walk by everyday to get to the station and back home (note:right now I'm facing away from the station). There are a lot of local stores around here like the bread shop, flower shop, karaoke barber, weapon shop etc. Local shops really give away a different feeling or atmosphere from big-shot-company-chain-shops(can't find a word for it). I don't really know what the time on the road means, but guessing from 7:30-8:30 going this direction is prohibited.

Day in Japan 15: Pink Pepsi

Here's something you don't see everyday

As you may know Japan has a lot of strange and weird products like this Pink Pepsi here. After hearing that it was strawberry and milk flavored I had to try it out.

Day in Japan 14: Mcdonalds KBQ burger

Being a hamburger fan I had to check out the new KBQ burger at McDonalds. McDonalds in Japan sometimes comes up with these interesting burgers for a limited time. I always try them out, although I think I missed a few. Does Mcdonalds do this in your area too?
Let's have a look at the CM(commercial)

Day in Japan 13: 2nd start

Going to continue my day in japan posts.

So first let's start with Lunch shall we. There's Chicken croquette, cabbage salad with mayonnaise, clam soup(i think) and   rice. Oomori(大盛り) rice to be exact. This costed 350Yen, it's supposed to be 410Yen because of the Oomori rice but I had a coupon -60 yen.

Alien Registration Certificate in Japan

When you enter Japan at the immigration they should give you this note. Don't throw it away(yet) keep it with you. On the backside everything is written in Japanese.

If your staying in Japan for more than 90 days whether your a tourist or a student like me then you have to go and register yourself for something called, be ready this one's a twister
外国人登録証明書(gai-koku-jin-tou-roku-shyou-mei-shyo)=Alien Registration Certificate within 90 days of arriving in Japan.
Basically it's a card verifying that you're a legitimate Alien and that you've registered your existence=sonzai(存在) in Japan. It is very important that you register and get this card. As you need this card for many things Ex: getting a cellphone, opening a bank account, getting a part-time job...etc most actions that need self identification.
